2nd place in March, Strathspey & Reel & Hornpipe & Jig at Skagit Valley

Alexander competed on Saturday, July 11 at the Skagit Valley Highland Games in both Grade 1 piping and Tenor drumming. In piping, there were seven to eight pipers in the Grade 1 events and Alexander placed 2nd in the March, Strathspey & Reel competition and 2nd in the Hornpipe & Jig competition.  Tenor drumming had one competitor with Alexander winning. Northwest Junior Pipe Band won both Grade 4 events and challenged up to Grade 3, winning that event as well, and the titles of Washington State Grade 3 and Grade 4 Pipe Band Champions with Alexander as the Pipe Major.  More information and results are available on the BCPipers' Results page or the NWJPBlog.
